Fed by constant low pressure systems across the Sea of Japan, this is one of the snowiest regions in the world
Niseko is located in South West Hokkaido, an area renowned for deep powder skiing. Niseko resort is part of the Annupuri Range which extends to the Sea of Japan to the west. On the southern side there is Hokkaido’s ‘Fuji of the North,’ a volcano that rises to 1,800 meters. Accessible resorts in the area, are Moiwa, Rusutsu and Kiroro.

Furano is located at the geographical center of Hokkaido. It is on the doorstep of the Daisetsuzan National Park, knows as the ‘Playground of the Gods’ by the indigenous Hokkaido people. Tokachidake is across the valley and is Hokkaido’s premier backcountry area. To the north, there are the resorts of Asahidake and Kamui Ski Links. To the south, there is the resort of Tomamu.
