Niseko Private Guiding

Niseko is one of the snowiest regions in the world. It is the first mountain range to be hit by storms off the Sea of Japan, making for a constant supply of precipitation. To get the best of the skiing in the area, side-trips to neighbouring resorts is recommended.

Within an hour drive of Niseko are the resorts of Kiroro and Rusutsu, that also offer great skiing. Moiwa is a small local's resort adjacent to Niseko United.

For backcountry options there is the the Annupuri Range which extends to the ocean and the volcano of Mt Yotei, known as the 'Fuji of the North.'

Day and multi-day options available.

Looking up to the Tokachidake area from Furano

Furano Private Guiding

Furano is often referred to the 'Navel of Hokkaido' for its central location on the island. The cold temperatures and low humidity levels produce some of the lightest powder in the world. Rather than a resort, Furano is a local town with a ski area adjoining it.

It makes for an excellent base for day trips to neighbouring resorts such as Kamui Ski Links, Asahidake and Tomamu, all within an hour and half drive. The differing micro-climates mean that there are good powder options.

The town is located at the foot of the backcountry area of Tokachidake, which is at the southern end of Daisetsuzan National Park.

Day and multi-day options available.
