On behalf of Al, Jeremy & Jo, I'd like to say thanks for the awesome time we had with HPG on that back country trip we did with you guys in January. This was Al & I's second time in 12 months back in Japan skiing / riding, first we went to Niseko, but unfortunately the Aussies are taking over and the Japanese feel is fading and the Pow is tracked out within hours. However down your neck of the woods, there aren't too many foreigner's and as far as powder goes, there is just acres of the stuff. Kamui Links we rode that till last lifts and still left plenty. Would have been no more than 150 people on that mountain all day. Norrie is a gem ! Every day when he picked us up from the pension he'd get on his ph and call his *contacts* and get the Goss where the snow was good for the day. Can't recall the name of that place in the national park he took us, but that had to be the highlight. A Metre o'night, still snowing, minus 20 and Norrie's mate shuttling us back up the mountain in his van. That is the only time when I was quoted as saying "There's too much damn powder". By the way if you find Al's ski in the summer hang onto it we'll pick it up when we return.
Great hospitality, great snow, great terrain, great part of the world that every powder hound should visit
thanks again and we'll all be back

Just wanted to say a massive THANKS for an awesome experience.
You guys (together with the briliant powder) absolutely made my trip.
I never thought I'd be able to carve my way down a mountain like that!
You've definitely made one of my dreams come true - thank you!

Just a quick note to say thanks once again to Norisan and Tochisan for a great day a couple of weeks ago. I know we were certainly very luck to have the guide ratio of 1:1. Great day out! I can see myself back there with a crew for some more backcountry in the near future.

We had a fantastic week. Given Hokkaido had an usually poor March in 2008, we had great guiding to still access boot to knee deep powder. Most other people in the resorts were struggling with a lack of good snow. The instruction in our Level 1 Avalanche Course was excellent and certainly made all of us appreciate safe travel in the backcountry. Thanks for a great trip and excellent instruction. Will definitely be back to explore hidden Hokkaido stashes with you sometime in the future!
