ITINERARY
Transfer to Furano via Chitose or Asahikawa airports. The township is nicknamed the eNaval of Hokkaidof for its central location on the island and is famous for the 'Belly Button Festival.' Furano town-ship is located at the base of Furano Ski Resort.

Day 1
Warm up ski day on Furano. The ski resort is one of the premier ski areas of Hokkaido and has been a venue for both the Ski and Snowboard World Cups having steeper terrain than other areas of Hokkaido. The snow here is incredibly light due to the cold and dry temperatures.

If you are interested in upgrading to a guided day it may be possible if we have a day trip going out. (please inquire)

Day 2
Today we travel to a ski area in the south of Hokkaido. This is great tree skiing and riding in a wide open and expansive resort. Before skiing we commence with a session on backcountry equipment use. Before returning to Furano we check out the ice village.

Day 3
We are back in Furano today. Our off-piste circuit takes us out of the ski area boundaries which provides for 900 vertical meters of skiing each run.

Day 4
Today we will head to a local's resort situated north of Furano. The resort sits in a valley and is perfectly located to catch snow from the predominant Westerly wind direction which deposits great quantities of snow on the off-piste we ski and ride. We will then transfer to Asahikawa which is the second largest city in Hokkaido.

Day 5
We travel to Asahidake, 2,290m which is the highest mountain in Hokkaido and live volcano. You will be awed by this conical shaped volcano that looms over the ski area and sends out plumes of smoke from its vents. The snow here is some of the lightest and most dependable powder in the world. A lone gondola accesses great terrain which we utilize for a full powder day.

Day 6
Asahidake

Day 7
After breakfast transfer to Asahikawa or Chitose Airport for your return journey.
