Furano, Hokkaido
Hokkaido Powder Guide is a rapidly growing ski guiding company which is located at the base of Central Hokkaidos premier powder region.
You will be required to live and work in Furano. Responsibilities include transporting clients to backcountry ski locations and guiding them in these areas. The guiding would involve a combination of easy accessed off-piste resort areas and also more remote non-lifted guiding. The work might also include escorting discerning clients to other areas of Hokkaido of which all accommodation and meal expenses would be paid.
We are looking for a guide who is qualified through the Japanese Mountain Guides Association or other guides association which is part of the IFMGA. Applicants would ideally have some English/Japanese language ability or have a keen interest to become conversational in English/Japanese. You would also have a sociable demeanor and enjoy meeting and guiding clients from all parts of the world. *Foreign applicant must have a valid working visa for Japan.
