Off-piste Tour Areas

Asahidake is in the northern part of Daisetsuzan National Park and is the highest mountain in Hokkaido at 2,290m. It is also a live volcano and on clear days you can see plumes of white smoke billowing from its vents. One cable-car gives lift access to the tree line providing for 600 meters vertical of widely spaced glades. While not an expansive area, many people ski the best snow of their lives here. Asahidake gets more snow accumulations than any other resort in Japan. As there is no avalanche control and ski patrol, we recommend a guide.

Furano Ski Resort is one of the premier ski areas of Hokkaido and has been a venue for the both Ski and Snowboard World Cups. Our off-piste circuit takes us out of the ski area boundaries and provides for 900 vertical meters of skiing each run. We will be working together with the Furano Ski Patrol to provide an epic powder product; 4 backcountry laps of the finest untouched powder runs you will ever ski/ ride.
