Off-piste tours (Overview)

Untracked powder all day is not an unusual phenomenon at many Hokkaido ski resorts. The lack of lift lines and people, especially during week days can make for whole days of skiing and riding untracked powder.

Coastal ski resorts get up to 16 meters of snow a season and resorts further inland still receive close to 10 meters, so there is never a lack of snow. Ski areas in Hokkaido have excellent facilities, lift service and terrain. Although the altitude of the resorts is lower than that of Europe or North America, it snows down to sea level for much of the winter.

The best way to ski the resorts of Hokkaido is to base at certain areas that have a network of accessible resorts. Often the amount of snow that falls at each place can be quite different due to micro-climates.

Local contacts keep us informed how conditions are so that we can guarantee you the best possible conditions of the area.
